Packed in a beautiful wood storage box, the eight knives in this set slice steaks, chops, or roasts and, because they're stainless steel, they match stainless-steel flatware at the dinner table. The knives have 4-inch blades cleverly angled to prevent wrist strain while applying maximum pressure. The edges are serrated so they do tend to tear meat fibers rather than slicing cleanly through them as straight-edge steak knives do. Stamped from high-carbon stainless steel, the knives have 18/10 stainless-steel handles and are dishwasher-safe. The storage box is heirloom quality, with a glowing, deep-auburn mahogany finish.
